Cheder Chabad Toronto Makes Chanukah joyful for its students.
At the Shmuel Zahavy Cheder Chabad, in addition to learning about each Yom Tov, they infuse the children with anticipation and excitement with activities that bring joy, pleasure and smiles to the children’s faces.
“The mechanchim and mechanchos of today are charged with the holy task of bringing the joy and pleasure of Yom Tov and Kedusha right into their
classrooms”, said Rabbi Baruch Zaltzman, Principal of the Shmuel Zahavy
Cheder Chabad – Toronto. Today more than ever, we must provide the children with positive and pleasant associations to Yiddishkeit and davka during the school day.
The children enjoyed a full range of Chanukah activities which included:
mivtzoim with their rebbeim, candle making, art projects, cookie baking,
class plays and parties. A highlight was the Cheder Chabad Choir arranged by the 5th grade rebbi, Rabbi Moshe Weinfeld, which performed at two public
menorah lightings, the Vaughan Police Headquarters and at the Vaughan Civic Center.
