The new choir “Baalei Hamenagnim” presented a debut music video that captures the unique Chanukah atmosphere in Jerusalem.
It was shot during Chanukah 5756 (2015) on the streets of Jerusalem and its Old City and near the famous Menorah at the Kotel.
The origins of this Chabad Masterpiece “Haneiros Halolu” is believed to have been composed by the chassidim of the Rebbe Maharash, the 4th Rebbe of Chabad-Lubavitch.
The Rebbe was not well at the time and would only be seen for lighting the candles of the Menorah. The Chassdim composed a long song for Hanieros Halalu so that they can be with their Rebbe for a longer period of time.
