A special day of mitzvos was held at the Torah Academy Primary School in Johannesburg, South Africa, in merit of the Jews living in the holy land.
The assembly of Torah, tefillah and tzedokah was dedicated to the safety and security of Israel, following its battle with Hamas terrorists in Gaza and the Palestinian bid for statehood at the United Nations.
Students were addressed by South Afrtica’s Head Shliach Rabbi Mendel Lipskar. In attendance were parents as well as some high school boys and nursery school children.
Following saying the 12 pesukim and giving charity, the children were handed forms to fill in of an extra mitzvah that they are taking on to help their brethren. The assembly ended off with singing Sheyiboneh Beis Hamikdosh.
Torah Academy teachers and staff we miss you. We miss being part of all the special and selfless things that you take part in.
May your Brochas be HEARD.

Leads by example. The Rebbe’s shliach who gives Leiv v’nefesh to bring the warmth of Torah to Jewish families from vastly different backgrounds. As parents at Torah academy, we extend our gratitude also to all the exceptional principals, Mrs Kesselman, Mrs Sarchi, Rabbi Hadar, Mrs Bronstein. Our children will always feel indebted to this amazing school!
