Many have been speculating where will Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Jacobson be heading to after ending his pulpit rabbinical role at Congregation Beis Shmuel in Crown Heights.
Here is one answer: He’s off to the Caribbean.
The world-famous orator and teacher is joining the roster of brilliant personalities that address the Kosherica Kosher Cruises.
He will be joining one of their most popular vacation getaways – the Eastern Caribbean Kosher Cruise featuring the 5th annual Jewish Music Festival At Sea, departing from New York on January 18, 2013.
The 10 day trip on the Norwegian Gem cruise ship will explore destinations like San Juan (Puerto Rico), St. Thomas, St. Maarten and the Dominican Republic on its way to the Caribbean.
The cruise lines has a 4-lane bowling alley, pool, spa, wii games and water slides, but the people at Kosherica are confidant that passengers will be mostly drawn to their scholar in residence – Rabbi Jacobson.
One of the most sought after speakers in the Jewish world today, they wrote that Jacobson has lectured to audiences on 6 continents and in 40 states, and serving as a teacher and mentor to thousands across the globe.
“He is considered to be one of the most mesmerizing and passionate communicators of Torah taught today,” a Kosherica press release said.
Rabbi Jacobson will be teaching the daily Daf Yomi, and offer a host of extraordinary lectures on the most burning topics of the day.
And while he won’t be at the helm of Bais Shmuel for much longer, he remains Dean of TheYeshiva.net, teaching via the web one of the largest Torah classes in the world today, with thousands of students globally (and aired on COLlive.com).
“You have an opportunity to be educated and guided by this one of a kind personality for ten days this winter. It’s an opportunity that should not be missed!” they wrote.
And then they listed the entertainers – some of the best of our time: Avraham Fried, Dudu Fisher, Yaacov Motzen and Lipa Schmeltzer. They will be joined by Colin Shachat and Simone Cohen.
The a luxury Glatt Kosher cruise is unparalleled, all Cholov Yisrael, Pas Yisrael with experienced and professional crew of Mashgichim aboard every cruise.
