This past Sunday evening, in preparation for Lag B’omer, the Shluchim of Illinois gathered at a farbrengen that was hosted by Rabbi Yossi Brackman of Chabad of Hyde Park and the University of Chicago.
The special guest Mashpia was Rabbi Yoske Gopin, Shliach in Hartford CT, who inspired the Shluchim with his warm and passionate style.
The farbrengen was attended not only by Shluchim from throughout the Metropolitan Chicago area but also from as far away as Peoria and the Quad Cities, as well as from neighboring Munster, Indiana.
By the time the Farbrengen was over – some five hours after it had begun – the Shluchim were ready to head back to their respective Shlichus responsibilities, with even greater enthusiasm.
What a Chossid Yitz, just had twins and still makes a point to travel far and come to farbreng!
