Following the incredible success of An Evening of Tribute on Chof Av, Strengthen our Homes for Vov Tishrei, Beis Rabeinu on Rosh Chodesh Kislev, An Evening for the Books on Hei Teves, To Build a Beautiful World on Yud Shvat, and Beis Rabeinu for Chof Beis Shvat, organizer Menachem Benchemon has arranged for An Evening of Learning and Music for the entire Crown Heights community and beyond, open to both men and women, in honor of the month of Adar in the spirit of: Mishenichnas Aadar Marbim Besimcha.
An evening of learning and music, took place for men and women, Tuesday evening, Zayin Adar, March 3, 2020, at the Lubavitcher Yeshiva hall on Crown Street.
The special evening, in honor of the month of Purim, featured Rabbi Mendel Kaplan, Shliach of the Rebbe to Chabad Flamingo, Thornhill, Ontario, Canada, and a well-known lecturer and Maggid Shiur in the wider Jewish community.
His presentation was a text-based study on: Purim Joy: Not a Joking Matter! A Shiur in the Maamar Layehudim Hoysa Orah 5741/1981, delivered by the Rebbe on Purim, Erev Shabbos after Mincha.
The first two parts of the Maamar were taught at the event, while the remaining three parts were completed from Thornhill, Ontario, Canada.
Following the Shiur, there was an incredible Kumzits. Music and vocals led by Berel Zucker with Sheer Vocal Talent™ by The Shira Choir accompanied by Yehuda Piamenta on the flute.
The evening was dedicated by Yerachmeal and Rivka Leah Jacobson in honor of the seventh Yahrtzeit of their dear father, Reb Betzalel Jacobson A”H, Tuesday, Zayin Adar, March 3, 2020.
