The annual Farbrengen celebrating Hei Teves, the day when Chassidim celebrate the U.S. Federal Court ruling in 1987 that the priceless library of the 6th Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn, belonged to the Chabad movement and not individuals, took place at Bais Rivkah – Campus Chomesh in Crown Heights.
The program featured words of inspiration from Rabbi Moshe New of Montreal, Rabbi Yisroel Spalter of Florida, Rabbi Yosef Greenberg of Alaska and Rabbi Yossi Garelik of Crown Heights.
Rabbi Yehoram Ulman, director of Chabad of Bondi, senior member of the Sydney Beth Din, and father-in-law of the late Rabbi Eli Schlanger HYD who was murdered in the Bondi attack on the first night of Chanukah, addressed the Farbrengen with words of Chizuk and inspiration.
After the formal program, farbrengens were held in English, Hebrew and Yiddish:English – Rabbi Moshe New, Hebrew – Rabbi Yosef Gopin and Yiddish – Rabbi Shlomo Zarchi.
