Hundreds accompanied the funeral of Mattil Fleishman, who lived in Crown Heights and was active in organizing women’s Shiurim, as it passed by 770 Eastern Parkway on Monday.
She was buried at Montefiore Cemetery in Queens.
Mattil was known for her devoted work for the Beit Midrash L’Noshim program at 770 Eastern Parkway, coordinating daily classes, shiurim and farbrengens for women with known rabbis and lecturers from the neighborhood. She also organized the recording of the women’s shiurim for distribution.
Having no family, Mattil’s funeral was organized by Rabbi Avrohom Lider of Ahavas Chesed with the help of Chesed Shel Emes.
