A large Chassidic Farbrengen is planned to take place next Wednesday at the main shul of Lubavitch Headquarters – 770 Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights.
The gathering will be marking Chai Elul, the birth dates of the Rabbi Yisroel Baal Shemtov, founder of the Chassidic movement, and the Alter Rebbe, founder of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement.
It will also mark the 80th anniversary of the inauguration of the iconic 770 building – the shul of the Rebbe Rayatz and the Rebbe and center of Chabad’s international activities.
Addressing the Farbrengen will be all 3 members of the Crown Heights Beis Din – Rabbi Avrohom Osdoba, Rabbi Yaacov Schwei and Rabbi Yosef Braun.
This will be the first public event the three rabbonim will appear at since their agreement to work in cooperation for the betterment of the community.
The Farbrengen is open for Chassidim and bochurim.
