Today, 13 Tishrei, is the 10th birthday of our miracle boy, Shmuly.
As many of you may remember, Shmuly was injured at the age of 4 when an accident occurred with a bow and arrow.
Over the years, many people have approached me to ask how Shmuly is doing and what is he up to. In gratitude to you all, we felt that today, on his birthday, we should give you all a short update.
After various surgeries and treatments during the first year or two, in the past few years, he has not needed any further medical treatment.
Although he still doesn’t have sight in his right eye, it’s an ongoing miracle that the eye is there, stable, and doesn’t need medical treatment.
The main goal was to keep the eye, and Baruch Hashem despite all odds we are able to do this.
The next step is waiting for some future development that will bez”h enable him to see in the eye.
For now, Shmuly is like any other regular child – he plays, learns, davens, and even attended summer camp for two months. The only thing he has to do is wear glasses to protect the good eye.
My wife Chanie and I thank everyone who supported and davened for him. This keeps us and him going.
Thank you all for your Tefillos, support, and love. It’s amazing over the years how many people approached us to let us know that they are still davening for him.
Shmuly’s birthday is today, the 13th of Tishrei and he is turning 10. His full name is Baruch Shmuel ben Chana and his Tehillim chapter is changing today to Chapter 11. We greatly appreciate your Tefillos and Mitzvos in his honor.
Thank you all and may we be able to share only good news with each other.
