Dear Shluchim,
The Yom Tov of Sukkos is fast approaching, and with it, our opportunity to engage in the Rebbe’s urgent call for mivtza lulav and esrog.
While this important mivtza has been the cornerstone of sukkos pe’ulos for decades already, it gains even more urgency and prominence this year, as we mark seventy years from when the Rebbe first raised the call to take to the streets and bring the daled minim to every Yid.
As the Rebbe repeatedly emphasized, the primary theme of the daled minim and the sukkah too is achdus yisrael. Despite the many differences of the four types and the variations of Yidden the world over, we all come together in one mitzvah and in one sukkah.
Today, the theme of achdus couldn’t be more relevant.
With terrible pirud ripping our brothers and sisters apart in our cherished Eretz Yisrael, and over matters of Yiddishkeit itself, it is critical that we uplift our fellow Jews and combat these negative forces with an overdose of achdus.
This Sukkos, it is our chance to seize the moment and demonstrate to all the Rebbe’s clear message with the mivtzoim of Sukkos: We are all one Yiddishe family, and we belong together, not chas veshalom the opposite.
Let us implement the Rebbe’s clarion call in this שבעים שנה, for an unprecedented mivtza lulav and Acdus Yisroel!
A gut Yom Tov
For the Vaad of Merkos
