The Global Yarchei Kallah gathering of Torah learning was founded by Shliach Rabbi Avraham Shemtov in 5734 (1974) to honor Chof Av, yartzeit of the Rebbe‘s father, Harav Levi Yitzchok Schneerson OBM.
The Rebbe viewed this Torah gathering as a tribute to his esteemed father’s legacy and encouraged Chassidim to participate.
This year’s Melave Malka of the Yarchei Kallah will feature remarks in English and Yiddish by Rabbi Ezra Schochet, Rosh Yeshivas Ohr Elchanan Chabad in Los Angeles, California; Rabbi Efraim Demichovsky, one of the Rebbe’s choizrim; and Rabbi Yossi Garelik, Rov of Congregation Anshei Lubavitch in Crown Heights.
Attendees will receive as a teshura the new English edition of Gems of Likkutei Levi Yitzchok published by Chayeinu, as well as a special edition of Mimeged Yerachim containing shiurim delivered at the Yarchei Kallah.
