For the campers of Beis Chaya Mushka Day Camp in Crown Heights, what started as just another day of camp turned out to be the highlight of their summer. TorahVR, the creators of gamified Jewish curricula best experienced in Virtual Reality, came to camp loaded with Kosher VR headsets and the first-ever Jewish VR game, MikDash.
The campers were thrilled to spend 30 minutes exploring the entire Beis Hamikdash at their own pace, learning about each room and the Keilim that were used throughout. Picking up tokens along the way and unlocking milestones by discovering new places in the environment, one camper was even able to complete the entire game. She then proceeded to learn more in-depth about the Menora while in the Kodesh, and had the unique opportunity to interact with the content by lighting the Menorah herself. Exactly how the Kohen would light it 2,000 years ago.
TorahVR, who will be installing kosher TorahVR headsets in dozens of Jewish schools in the upcoming school year, saw this as a unique opportunity to test out TorahVR in a true classroom environment. While over 1,500 children and adults have used TorahVR over the last couple of weeks, from camps like CGI Montreal, Oholei Torah, and Chayolei Hamelech, to adult educational conferences like the JLI National Retreat in Miami and the Kinus Mechanchim in Stamford, CT, this was the first time ever that TorahVR made its way into a classroom setting.
And the results were amazing. Every single girl said they were thrilled by the experience and were wide-eyed as they were informed their school would be adopting the technology in the upcoming school year, with students able to use the headsets for one class per week to interact with new mitzvos, as detailed in Tzivos Hashem’s Yahadus curriculum, the content partner of TorahVR.
TorahVR will be used to augment the legacy Chidon learning experience for 6,000 students across the globe and will be available to over 1,000 other Jewish schools around the world.

Unbelievable! I hope my daughter’s school gets this as well. This is an amazing idea!
When is this coming to schools in California??
I heard it will be available there right after Tishrei be’h
I’d like my school in Miami to have this. When is it coming out?
This is a real groundbreaking way to educate. It’s unbelievably real and halachly correct. Children and adults live it. Congratulations NIvra and Torahvr on this project and and your future endeavors
