Following the statement by Crown Heights leaders endorsing Assemblymember Brian Cunningham and describing him as a trusted friend and ally, four frum Assemblymembers representing Flatbush, Monsey, Borough Park, and Queens, have issued a joint endorsement.
“We are Assemblymembers in Albany who work closely with Brian Cunningham. He is a true friend and ally to the community,” they wrote in an exclusive statement to COLlive.
“We share the sentiments expressed by Crown Heights leaders and can personally attest to his friendship, professionalism, and consistent support.”

Orthodox Jewish Assembly candidate Pesach Osina, a longtime activist running to represent Assembly District 23, which includes Far Rockaway, told COLlive that he is also endorsing Brian Cunningham.
“Brian is a great leader and a great friend, and I am proud to endorse him,” Osina said.
As your Republican State Committeeman representing Crown Heights, I am blind sighted by the willingness of several Democrat politicians, who ran with the blessing of the Republican Party, to betray us by intervening in our Crown Heights district on behalf of the Democrat. I am not sure how this started, not it’s implications in a primary, but I assure you it doesn’t bode well for their future Wilson-Pakulas, not for the Askanim who asked for this but had no problem giving tribute to Mamzerani in Williamsburg and then hosting Ramadan in their crown heights homes. Brian has been here for all community members..the new ‘kid’ on the block is exactly that. When you run for office you can just walk in and say I’m Here vote for me! You need to get to know the community and that means ALL of the community; not just YOUR own people. When you run for office you are representing ALL of the people. When you highlight only your community issues it also pits groups against each other and this is something we all do not need, especially now.
