Rabbi Mendel Mintz is scheduled to close on a 14,000-square-foot building in Baltimore, purchased in memory of his late wife, Mrs. Miriam Mintz a”h, which will house a library and Heichal HaBaal Shem Tov.
Preparations are underway for the upcoming closing of a $2.3 million property in Baltimore that will soon become home to Miriam’s Library, a new educational and spiritual center announced at an event marking Miriam’s first yahrzeit. The closing is scheduled for December 3.
The 14,000-square-foot building will feature an after-school program offering reading support, homework help, and tutoring, together with a library and Heichal HaBaal Shem Tov, a space dedicated to learning and spreading the wellsprings of Chassidus.
Miriam Mintz a”h, a gifted and devoted special educator, was tragically and suddenly taken, just two years after her marriage to Mendel. In the weeks before her passing, the couple had been appointed to go on shlichus – a mission that Mendel is now continuing in a new form through this initiative.
“This building will be the greatest nechama and an everlasting legacy for my wife,” Mendel said.
A crowdfunding campaign is scheduled for next week to help complete the funds needed for the closing.
