The new Chavrusa learning program which launched in Crown Heights this week at Beis Eliezer Yitzchok Shul on Kingston Avenue is growing each evening, with great success.
Participants gather to learn in a Chavrusa setting, and then enjoy a delicious buffet catered by Izzy’s BBQ in Crown Heights.
Due to the great popularity of the program, beginning tonight, Chavrusa study partners who can learn in Hebrew will be available for Hebrew speakers as well, organizers announced.
The “Match Me a Chavrusa” learning program has been launched l’iluy Nishmas Rabbi Don Yoel Levy OBM.
Due to the situation in the world, many residents of Crown Heights are finding themselves with free time and say to themselves, “I wish I had a Chavrusa – learning partner during this time so I could finish a complete ‘Masechta,’ a “Hemshech” in Chasidus, some “Sugyos” in Halacha, and more.”
To fulfill this need, the Beis Eliezer Yitzchak Shul, located at 394 Kingston Ave. (above Mikvah Meir), has opened its doors for the residents of Crown Heights.
The learning will continue every evening at 8:30 pm just after Mincha at 8:15 pm. The Chavrusa learning is followed by Maariv at 9:15 pm. After Maariv, a 10-minute shiur in Hilchos Beis Habechira will be held as per the instruction of the Rebbe.
Buffet dinner served nightly. Tonight, a full spread from Izzy’s BBQ will be served.
Those interested in learning with a chavrusa during the evenings can contact Rabbi Kalman Weinfeld via WhatsApp at 347-515-3232 and he will do his utmost to match you with a chavrusa.
