Early this morning, a unique wall installation popped up on Crown & Kingston, in front of the Bikur Cholim Tile Wall.
Chani Frankel and Freidel Levin of Mimulo designed a wall with gorgeous flowers that are held up by bandaids. The thought was to create an abstract but sensory representation of healing (represented by bandaids) and hope (represented by flowers), which is the poignant theme of the upcoming Bikur Cholim of Crown Heights Women’s Breakfast.
Mimulo has participated in flower flashes before, titled #Flowersforthepeople, but, “this is a special one,” said Freidel Levin.
“I was so honored to say yes when they asked us,” she added. “It’s a very special organization that my family has personally been on the receiving end of all the beauty.”
The 3-d, sensory flower installation soon became interactive as the crowds coming out to celebrate Lag Baomer added flowers and bandaids to the wall. “We’re having passersby participate in building this beautiful flower wall to help tap into the powerful meaning behind the #HopeIsHealing campaign,” a Bikur Cholim representative said.
The wall will continue to stand until tomorrow, as a standing reminder to continue the mission of bringing Hope & Healing to our community by attending our annual breakfast this Sunday at 9:45 AM at Oholei Torah.
The event will include a lavish breakfast and decor by Chani Greenbaum Events, a heartfelt tribute to Hadassah Lebovic a”h, a meaningful program hosted by Rochie Lieberman, inspiring words by Dini Greenberg, and a few other surprises along the way.
At the event, we will also draw the winners for the auction which can be found online (with an early bird discounted price!) at bikurcholimch.org/auction.
Cool! Much Hatzlocha!
Always astonished by the beauty and thoughtful approach the girls at Mimulo offer to projects! The creativity that comes out of their new shop on St. Johns is a great!
The flower bandaid concept on the posters was ingenius and the taped on flowers took it over the top! Who came up with this idea for the flower wall? Mimulo are definitely the right people to execute and artistically bring these concepts to life.
