For the 4th consecutive year, Chabad SLSP (South London – Students and young Professionals) has provided tennis fans with delicious kosher food at the the world-famous Wimbledon Tennis Championships.
Situated just minutes away from the legendary Centre Court, Chabad’s kosher stand offered burgers, hot dogs, kebabs, strawberries and pareve ice cream to sports enthusiasts from around the globe.
“It’s amazing to see people from across the entire spectrum of the Jewish community coming here to eat,” said Rabbi Dovid Cohen, Director of Chabad SLSP.
“The most satisfying fact for me personally was when someone who never expected to see us spots the kosher van, and his or her face lights up.”
Among the dozens of customers, Jewish and non Jewish, who have been enjoying the great food was internationally known cantor and stage performer Dudu Fisher.
“There’s nothing like Chabad,” he commented, and thanked Rabbi Cohen and his wife Sora Cohen for their dedication.
