Director Robin Garbose will take her drama camp, Kol Neshama, to Israel, marking the program’s 17th summer.
From July 7 to August 14, approximately 30 talented young women, ages 12 to 18, will spend five and a half weeks in Tzfat at the picturesque Machon Alte Campus.
They will attend daily classes in singing, dance, acting and filmmaking, taught by accomplished professionals, culminating in a stage performance and a film shoot for Garbose’s new DVD series for girls: Young Detectives of Tzfat. The program also incorporates inspiring Torah learning, touring and a Jerusalem Shabbaton.
Mrs. Garbose, thrilled by her program’s move to Israel, says, “I have finally created my dream program: Drama Camp and Israel!”
Kol Neshama is dedicated to providing artistic training and performance opportunities for religious girls, and to developing an emerging artistic voice through the creation of distinctly Jewish film and stage productions.
Through Kol Neshama’s seventeen years of summer intensives, nearly 500 girls from all over the world have experienced the joy and benefit of creative expression, while developing their gifts with a Torah perspective.
To date, Kol Neshama has produced ten original plays, two DVD series, and three internationally acclaimed feature films, A Light for Greytowers, The Heart that Sings and Operation: Candlelight.
Still a few spots open for Kol Neshama Performing and Cinema Arts Intensive for girls in Tzfat.
