The news of the settlement that was concluded on Friday over the operation of the Crown Heights Beis Din and the Kashrus was greeted with great excitement throughout Crown Heights and beyond.
The Vaad Hakohol of Crown Heights today released a summary of the key provisions of the settlement that provides for one Beis Din and one Kosher certification in the community.
Vaad Hakohol Chairman Zaki Tamir published a letter summarizing his personal and communal joy over the unity that has been achieved, saying that this was a second chance for the community to fully embrace the Rebbe’s desire for the Beis Din of Crown Heights.
In his letter he called on all Crown Heights residents to now come together and support the Beis Din, by
1) following their rulings
2) supporting the community kashrus and the establishments under the hechsher, and
3) by making sure to be up-to-date with the payments to Mas Hakohol, to be sure that the Rabbonim’s salaries and expenses can be met.

Where is Rabbi Heller in all this? When are the next elections for the Rabbonim? When are the next elections for Vaad Hakohol?
In accordance with the way the rebbe set it up, the positions as rabbi in beis din are for life
Why so MANY omissions???
The Vaad Hakahal has been in office for 9 years now due to the extraordinary circumstances that existed in the shechuna. Now that normalcy has been restored it behooves the Rabbonim to encouage the Vaad to reconvene the N’tzigim and organize vaad elections asap. The achievement of this Vaad is historic. Now it’d time to get back to business as usual as per the guidelines of the by-laws.
Has officially stepped down? He was one of the original elected rabbis
Its a tatse of yemos hamoshiach!!
The Rebbe said that achdus between Anash will bring moshiach. One giant step for humanity.
