This is the first Pellin/Chabad video that has received criticism. All the others had women in them, and nobody complained. But this one crossed a line.

Let’s not let this turn into a Shliach vs non Shliach issue… there is a SIMPLE question to be asked: Has a (or 3) Chssidishe Rov – Moireh Horooh B’boiel – been consulted regarding these type of issues and has he given a green light to make and publicized things in this way in the name of the Rebbe. If the answer is YES then go do it B’hatzlocho Rabo Umuflogo! but if Rabbonim WEREN’T cunsulted, then this is CHILDISH discusion.

There is no violation of ANY halacha here. I’m sure it was done with VERY good intentions as you see they are dancing deliberately separately, BUT they are wearing pants, there is no ‘mechitza’ etc. With all due respect (and I’m not a Rov, so I’m just relating my personal thoughts) ES PAST NISHT for chassidim and should be promptly removed. This should be used as a teachable moment, that even while attempting to make a “kosher” presentation, one needs to be EXTREMELY careful when it comes to ‘Tznius’, ‘kosher’ and crossing red lines. This might be an esier way to get people to come to you, but thats not the right way to do it. You must first follow halacha and once you’re doing that then you can start bringing poeple closer to yidishket

I don’t know who Chabad of Malibu is but they should learn from the telethon how to integrate modernity but in a kosher fashion that would Make the Rebbe Proud.
I am usually very liberal but I have to agree that this video is a little surprising. It is definitely cheeky/cute but the previous post got it right, would you feel comfortable asking the Rebbe to approve this? Keep up the creative work (and remember some of the best pieces come from the most restrictive parameters)
