After completing thirteen extraordinary years of studying Hemshech Ayin Beis, Rabbi Simon Jacobson and his devoted students are embarking on a new journey: The daily study of Hemshech Samach Vav — another monumental Chassidic discourse delivered by the Rebbe Rashab (Rabbi Sholom Dovber of Lubavitch) in 1905-1907. This class will begin on Tuesday, November 11, Chof Cheshvan, celebrating the 165th birthday of the Rebbe Rashab, whose teachings continue to revolutionize and transform lives.
What began over a decade ago — celebrating the centennial of Ayin Beis in 2012 — as a daily exploration of perhaps the deepest and most comprehensive works of Chassidic thought has evolved into a transformative spiritual odyssey. Ayin Beis opens a window into the inner structure of existence — examining creation, consciousness, and the divine energy that animates all of life. It lays out a detailed blueprint of the “interface” between the Divine and existence. Studying it day by day, line by line, has allowed participants to not only grasp its profound teachings, but to live them — reframing how they see Torah, the world, and their own divine mission.
With a group of loyal and passionate students who have toiled together for thirteen years, the Ayin Beis journey has become a testament to the power of consistent learning and the eternal vitality of Torah.
As they raise a l’chaim and celebrate this monumental siyum (completion), Rabbi Jacobson and his students reaffirm that Torah study never ends — it only deepens and renews. Their next chapter begins immediately: a new daily series delving into an earlier one of the Rebbe Rashab’s foundational discourses, Samach Vav. Delivered and written six years before Ayin Beis, this magnum opus lays the groundwork for the Chassidic principles of divine unity and human purpose and initiative.
“Learning Ayin Beis and Samach Vav isn’t just an intellectual pursuit,” says Rabbi Jacobson. “It’s an encounter with the soul of reality. It gives us a new lens — the Rebbe Rashab’s lens — through which we can understand ourselves and the world, and move closer to personal and global redemption.”
The public is warmly invited to join Rabbi Jacobson in this new journey of discovery — to learn, grow, and experience the living relevance of Chassidus today.

Beautiful initiative! How do I join the Shiur in person?!
Rabbi Simon Jacobson composed a fascinating essay suggesting what may have been the conclusion of Hemshech Ayin Beis (the Rebbe Rashab did not conclude the Hemshech, apparently leaving several questions unanswered and themes unfinished).
