Chabad of Southern Colorado is nearing completion of its beautiful Mikvah. “There has been a great need of a Mikvah for the locals as well as for the many tourists that visit this region,” said Rabbi Moshe Liberow shliach to the area since 2001.
Currently, the drive to closest Mikvah, located in Denver, is nearly 130 miles round trip. Thus, this new Mikvah will enable many to start keeping this integral Mitzvah. After much work and red tape acquiring the necessary permits, the work began just before Purim and is now nearing completion.
This Mikvah, called Mei Menachem in honor of the Rebbe, has a full Jacuzzi and many more amenities is a state of the art facility.
The Mikvah was built through the generosity of Mr. and Mrs. Yingy Bistritsky of Crown Heights, New York, who have generously pledged to the building of this Mikvah.
Rabbi Liberow remarks that sponsorship opportunities for the Mikvah still exist, due to high construction costs. He is asking for the community’s help in raising funds. For more information call 719-634-2345.
