When the unexpected struck during the recent severe weather, one Crown Heights business came through to assist.
Members of the CHYE workspace on Empire Blvd. in Crown Heights were forced out of their shared offices after a burst pipe during the extreme cold flooded the beloved coworking space. What could have brought productivity to a halt instead became a powerful display of community assistance.
Rather than cancel meetings or pause their projects, entrepreneurs and creatives packed up their laptops and regrouped at the Brooklyn Artisan Bakehouse on Empire Blvd and Albany Ave., where work resumed.
CHYE has long been more than a workspace. It is a hub for driven individuals building businesses, launching initiatives, and supporting one another’s growth. This week’s temporary relocation only underscored what members already know: the heart of CHYE is not the desks or walls, but the people.
“A special thank you was extended to Levi Krinsky, owner of Bakehouse Café, who immediately opened his doors to host the displaced members. His generosity ensured that momentum would not be lost and served as yet another reminder of the unity that defines Crown Heights,” said Rabbi Yehoshua Werde, Director of CHYE.
Repairs have just been completed at the CHYE space.

Fresh food, great vibe, and comfortable to sit there. So grateful to CHYE and Bakehouse for making this possible
Levi is a real Mench!!
The BAB is always an amazing pleasant friendly place to hang out. Excellent WiFi and very reasonably priced. Thank you Levik for servicing the community with such a beautiful outlet!
If you’re in Crown Heights, you need to experience this café owned by Levi Krinsky. Levi is truly incredible! So sweet, genuinely friendly, and one of the hardest-working people you’ll ever meet. He creates such a warm, welcoming atmosphere that you feel like family the moment you walk in.
Levi Krinsky is truly an amazing and dedicated cafe owner. The food is absolutely delicious and always high quality and reasonably priced. On top of that, he’s incredibly kind, hardworking, and genuinely cares about his customers. We’ve had great experiences booking quite a few Sheva Brachos by him. Our community is lucky to have him!
Levi goes the extra mile in so many ways for so many people!!
Super special of Levi for hosting so graciously!!
Not surprised, he does so much good which doesn’t get publicized!
I’m not even a big-paying customer, yet every time I place an order for a small event, he gives the details so much consideration. He truly cares about his work and his customers.
Levi a true mensch.
We love the Bakehouse and visit every time we’re in town! The food is always so delicious and fresh and the prices are really great (for CH!) We’ve met Levi and right away you can tell what a warm, honest guy he is. Keep up the incredible work! Much Hatzlacha
Levi is the man, always is giving with a full and genuine heart. So much to learn from!
May him and his family see blessings in a revealed way always!
