Over 1,000 people will be visiting Almaty, Kazakhstan to mark the Yartzeit of Rabbi Levi Yitzchok Schneerson, the Rebbe’s father on Chof Av.
During the day’s events, hundreds will pray at the gravesite of Rabbi Levi Yitzchok, and a Siyum Sefer Torah will be held.
Also this weekend, a regional Kinus Hashluchim will take place for 250 Shluchim from the Former Soviet Union, led by Chief Rabbi of Russia Rabbi Berl Lazar.
A group of 210 Lubavitcher men have arrived from the US on a chartered El Al Dreamliner to mark the yartzeit.
