A group of over 200 Lubavitch men from Crown Heights and elsewhere have departed on a 2-day trip to Alma Ata, Kazakhstan.
They will spend the day of Chof Av, the yartzeit of the Rebbe’s father, Rabbi Levi Yitzchok Schneerson, at his gravesite in Alma Ata.
Joining the group are Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky of Merkos, Mashpia Rabbi Nachman Schapiro, lecturer Rabbi Simon Jacobson, and lecturer Rabbi Levke Kaplan.
The group boarded a chartered El Al flight from JFK Airport on Tuesday afternoon, where they were greeted by Chabad at the Airport, directed by Rabbi Yossi Rapp.
The entire 48 hour trip, from hotel accommodations to meals, is sponsored by Shmuli Stern and a group of Chabad businessmen.
A special Teshura memento was published by Chayenu for the occasion, containing 20 teachings from Likkutei / Toras Levi Yitzchok, in English. Download your copy here.
So nice to have a representative for Aliya on such a special trip
