A monumental new Sefer has been released in honor of Chof Av, the Yartzeit of the Rebbe‘s father, Rabbi Levi Yitzchok Schneerson obm, which explains all the letters the Rebbe received from his father Reb Levi Yitzchok, during the period of his wedding.
As is known, the Rebbe left Russia after Sukkos in late 1927, with his wedding to Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka planned to be held in Poland. They hoped the Russian government would give permission for the Rebbe’s parents to travel to the wedding.
Sadly, the government did not give permission, and the wedding was held on 14 Kislev, 1929 without their participation.
The Rebbe received a total of 15 letters from his father for the occasion, and this new Sefer explains in detail what Reb Levi Yitzchok wrote.
The book was written by Rabbi Dovid Dubov, Shliach of Princeton NJ – Mercer County, author of the series of books Yalkut Levi Yitzchok Al Hatorah, published by Kehos. 5 volumes have been printed, with the sixth currently being worked on.
250 volumes of the newly published sefer will be given as a gift to all the Shluchim from the Former Soviet Union who will be attending the regional Kinus in Almaty this week.
