The long-awaited Chidon Grand Finale took place on Thursday, 23 Adar, March 12th, with over 43,000 chayolim, family, and friends tuning in to watch the worldwide event, dedicated by Mr. George Rohr in honor of his mother, Sara Rohr.
Girls in grades 4-8 from around the world attended the epic International Siyum HaMitzvos Gameshow, which included live musical performances and an official award ceremony.
This event rounded off the many months throughout which these middle schoolers devoted hours of their free time, studying an intensive curriculum based on the facts, details, and reasons behind all 613 Mitzvos. More than 300 participating schools in 46 countries and numerous cities sent representatives to showcase the in-depth Torah learning skills and knowledge that their students have acquired. From those competing against each other on stage down to the ones cheering them on in the audience, the excited energy in the room was palpable!
The event was produced by DW Productions by Dovid Weinbaum, together with Shmuly Widowsky. Some of Chabad’s biggest names in Jewish music were invited to perform, making it a premier event on the community calendar. Eli Marcus and Berel Zucker, accompanied by a six-piece band led by Chony Milecki, and game-show host Mrs. Sara Blau, provided meaningful entertainment to viewers both in person and online. During the event, a special tribute was made to Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky A”H.
During the live broadcast, select representatives from each grade participated in various fast-paced style trivia games to best display their impressive knowledge of all 613 Mitzvos, culminating with a heart-pumping Rapid Response Showdown by the girls in KHK (Kol HaTorah Kula).
Thanks to Chabad.org the broadcast is available to watch here:
