What began as a simple idea between two friends quickly turned into something the Crown Heights community embraced.
Earlier this year, Sarah and Lieba began collecting gently worn clothing with the goal of making modest fashion more accessible and affordable. By the time the Tishrei Yom Tov season arrived, they hosted two pop-up thrift shops in one week, drawing a lively crowd of women eager to browse through racks of unique finds.
The response was overwhelming. Hundreds of items filled the racks, and shoppers were surprised by both the variety of clothing available and the affordability of the pieces.
Thrifting has become a growing trend around the world, offering a more sustainable and budget-friendly way to shop. Instead of purchasing something brand new, shoppers can discover beautiful pieces that were previously loved and give them a second life.
Within the frum community, modest clothing can often come with a high price tag. Nifted aims to change that by offering gently worn clothing at prices that allow anyone to walk away with something they love. Some items start at just $3.
The project is powered by the community itself, with people contributing clothing and helping keep the cycle going. Pieces that may no longer be worn in one home often become someone else’s favorite find.
Each pop-up has become a lively gathering where women browse together, help each other spot hidden gems, and enjoy the fun of finding something beautiful they’re excited to wear.
With Pesach approaching and many people beginning to sort through their closets, another Nifted pop-up will take place over two days, giving the community more time to browse and also drop off gently worn clothing that can be upcycled and enjoyed again.

Where can I find more info to drop off?
Love this!
Got the best stuff omg
Preowned clothes can save you a fortune!! I buy pretty much only in thrift shops and the only issue with my out of town thrift shop is, the clothing seems to smell like moth balls which is unhealthy and has not been simple to get out.
Before washing spray it with vinegar and water and add vinegar to the wash load. Yeah, unfortunately it must be washed before wearing but it can save you money.
I have beautiful clothes in perfect condition barely worn to give.
Where wd i drop off to donate?
