Batsheva Learning Center has released its newest learning booklet, Bread of Faith: Nurturing Our Inner Child, a source-based study guide on the mitzvah of eating matzah and the nature of emunah.
The booklet traces a carefully constructed argument across three sections, drawing on the Sefer HaChinuch, Maseches Brachos, the Zohar, Derech Mitzvosecha, and Likkutei Torah. The central thesis: matzah is not merely a symbol of Yetzias Mitzrayim. It is, as the Zohar calls it, michla d’meheimanusa — the bread of faith — a food that literally nourishes our innate awareness of Hashem, the way bread awakens a child’s recognition of their parents.
The booklet is designed for individual learning as well as group study, and includes a new feature for this release: Points to Ponder — guiding discussion questions embedded throughout each section. The questions prompt students to engage personally with the sources and connect the ideas to their own experience of emunah, making the booklet especially useful as a structured curriculum tool for educators running Pesach programming.
An accompanying podcast episode from the ‘Real Women, Real Torah’ podcast walks through the booklet’s content in full and is available on Spotify. A QR code inside the booklet links directly to the episode.
Print copies are available for order at batshevalearningcenter.com/booklets. Orders are now shipped with expedited handling and arrive within a week, in time for Pesach programming. Educators can also download a customizable event flyer directly from the booklet page to promote their shiur or event.
A digital version of the booklet is also available for download.
