.. and he is a great kiddush Hashem in Israel singing with a yarmulkeh for all Israelis on stage with style and class. But this song IMHO was not for him and likely was done just to promote the concert. Perhaps he should have let this one go, just as many Sefardy songs should be left to the Sefardim. Otherwise, A for effort.

As much as Chaim Yisroel’s rendition was nice, it lacked a certain emesdikeit that only a chossid can have for his rebbe. When you hear this song it needs to make you want to cry out with the singer, rebbe, rebbe I want to connect with you. It’s something to think about as Chabad chassidim.
