On Tuesday, Chabad of Conejo in California hosted 1700 people at Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza for “Matisyahu Unplugged,” a strictly acoustic concert to benefit their Building Campaign.
The large turnout for the up-close and personal performance was treated to a surprise appearance by popular singer Trevor Hall, Matisyahu’s long time friend and co-song writer.
In the spirit of Adar, Mendy Pellin served as Master of Ceremonies, adding his unique humor to the evening’s program. Long-time fans felt the show was one of Matisyahu’s finest performances, filled with a mix of inspiration and humor.
Matisyahu gave the enthusiastic audience an additional 45 minutes of song, finishing with “Jerusalem,” “One Day” and an encore rendition of “King Without a Crown” that sent the audience to their feet while shouting “Moshiach now!” in unison.
Rabbi Moshe Bryski, Director of Chabad of Agoura Hills, thanked the crowd for coming and invited them to learn more about the building campaign at chabadconejo.com/building.

I was invited by a close family friend. Never had I heard of Matisyahu until that moment. It would be great to be able to listen to it again. Does anyone have a link or keyword to find photage. The best performance I have seen by far.
We had an amazing time meeting Matisyahu and working with him. Please view our photos here and hire us for any of your photographic needs!!

it actually means the guitars used were classic, acoustic guitars, as opposed to electric guitars, which produce their sound in a more “natural” way
it was a great show!!! really enjoyed it! there was one thing that annoyed me but besides for that it was great!
Matisyahu never claims to be anything because of people like you who think you have a right to tell him how to dress act or behave. If his style doesnt fit your vision of what a chossid should be well guess what?? there are plenty of other people to go looking at.
Matisyahu is a true Chossid for Hashem
A Chossid has Short hair Long payos and a long Beard.
I Love Matisyahu, Such a Holy Yid!
it means their wasnt a whole band just a guitar!
Could someone explain, please.
way to go matis love your new album
Would love to see him dressed like a real chosid – white shirt in all, like the old days. Made a much better impact, and it would look much better with his electric blue yarmulka.
When did Matisyahu become so old?!?! Gray beard?! Wowie!!
