Shliach Makes L’Chaim for Wife

A new tradition at Merkos Lubavitch of Florida, which houses the Chabad House for Israelis in South Beach Miami, is beginning to draw a weekly loyal crowd.

Bochurim at the Smicha program there are hosting a Thursday night Chassidic Farbrengen which begins with a Dvar Torah by Rabbi Sholom Ber Kleinman and continues until the late hours of the night with stories and niggunim.

The “Leil Shishi Farbrengen,” as they call it, brings together tens of Hebrew speaking men and women from South Florida strengthening their connection to yiddishkeit.

Rabbi Avrohom Korf, the host and Head Shliach of Florida, graced the evening with his presence and made a special L’Chaim with participants to the health and speedy recovery of his wife Rebbetzin Rivka bas Sara Basya.

He and Shliach Rabbi Mendy Katz emphasized in their talks the great power of simcha and how pure joy can annul any hardships in the world.

Inspired by their words, participants began singing and dancing with the bochurim and even stepped outside on Alton road.
