Chabad Early Childhood of the Shluchim Office has announced details for the Annual Directors Recharge Retreat, which will take place from April 26 through April 28 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Every year, the Chabad Early Childhood retreat is a rejuvenating experience for preschool directors to learn, connect and recharge together. Chabad Early Childhood is the international network supporting Chabad preschools on Shlichus with curriculum resources, teacher training, and more.
The retreat will be hosted at Chabad Lubavitch of Georgia, with gratitude extended to Rabbi Yossi and Dassie New for hosting the program. The program will focus on connections whether that’s between Shluchos, to the Rebbe, and to the parents and children in their care, emphasizing the role these relationships play in effective leadership and impactful Chinuch.
“Everything was done so well, so perfect, a great balance between the activities and workshops, it was so inspiring and rejuvenating,” wrote Mrs. Dvonye Korf, Shlucha and Preschool Director in Los Angeles, California after last year’s retreat. “It’s so incredible to meet so many other directors so driven by the same values!”
Featured presenters include Erinn Cottman, who will share strategies for collecting end of year feedback and delivering guidance that builds loyalty and secures staff for the coming year. Sara Liberow will present on preschool marketing strategies and nationally recognized speaker Natalie Jones will share storytelling techniques for Parsha and circle time. Daniel Thompson, scientist at the Ron Clark Academy will present strategies focused on teacher engagement, retention, and learner participation and Mrs. Dena Schusterman will share inspiration and encouragement.
“In addition to lectures and workshops, the retreat will include networking opportunities, a preschool tour, self-care sessions, nourishing meals, a farbrengen, and special treats and prizes,” shared Director Mrs. Rivky Baitelman. “We are so looking forward to giving the Rebbe’s Shluchos a meaningful opportunity to connect, recharge and bring renewed inspiration back to their preschools.”
The three day program begins Sunday, April 26 and concludes Tuesday, April 28. Sunday evening will include a special track open to preschool teachers, while Monday and Tuesday are reserved exclusively for directors.
Registration is now open, with early bird pricing available through March 1st at 12:00 PM EST. Rates are available for CEC members and non-members, with a special discounted rate offered to directors within their first five years of opening a preschool.
Registration is open at Shluchim.org/CECRetreat. Email ceceadmin@shluchim.org with any questions.
