Bais Rivkah marked Chanukah with a full schedule of programming that brought students, staff and families together for celebration, entertainment, and school spirit throughout the Yom Tov.
The festivities opened on Thursday, the first day of vacation, with a large schoolwide Chanukah celebration held in Rosa Hall, drawing over 400 students, their siblings and mothers. Attendees enjoyed a lively magic show, face painting, balloon animals, Chanukah crafts, and doughnuts. “The magic show was really fun, and I loved the face paint and the crafts. There were so many people there, it felt like a big party,” said second grader, Leah. The strong turnout and upbeat atmosphere made the event a highlight of the Chanukah season.
Chanukah programming continued during the break with a series of subsidized activities.
On Friday morning, girls had an awesome time watching a Pioneer Film screening of True Control, which was both entertaining and inspiring.
On Sunday, Bais Rivkah hosted a Chanukah carnival featuring bounce houses and themed booths. The carnival buzzed with energy as students enjoyed games and activities.
The week wrapped up on Monday with a bowling outing, where students enjoyed a fun game, cheering each other on, and spending quality time together.
One mother remarked, “Chanukah vacation can be a lot, and having these programs made such a difference for us. My daughters came home happy and excited, and that took so much pressure off. We really appreciated it.”
The Chanukah programs gave students and families a chance to celebrate together, enjoy fun activities, and bring the light of Chanukah into every corner of school life.
