The guiding focus of the Adai Ad Institute is to provide the tools and mindsets for healthy and successful marriages. To that end, they continually produce materials and sharing articles here on COLlive.com – covering the range of pre-dating, through shiduchim and into the marriage. Check out the website at www.adaiad.org
Devora Krasnianski, the founder of Adai Ad, speaks to singles and couples all the time. And she listens, really listens. Often, the questions and issues brought up are ones that are relevant to others. As applicable, Adai Ad will find a way to bring awareness and education around that issue to the public – via conference calls, articles or most recently online mini flash courses.
Adai Ad’s newest series of conference calls addresses the partnership of a marriage – about working as a team in all aspects of marriage. The conference calls of the next 2 months will all be around this area. The first two are next week, covering Money & Marriage and Parenting Young Children as a Team. Other calls will address working together when parenting older children, pregnancy as a team, parenting children who are not following your derech, after the birth of a child.

Money & Marriage: Why and how to talk about your finances, in productive ways
with Chaya Margolin, Financial Coach
Money. It’s important, we all need some money to pay for the things we need to live. Too often this becomes an area that couples don’t like to talk about. Or an area of conflict, or is evaded to avoid conflicts. Sometimes, it is from different values or patterns from family of origin.
It may be difficult, but we must have these discussions around money. Chaya Margolin will share ideas for budgeting and how to talk about money.

Parenting your young children as a team: Conversations spouses should have around parenting young children
With Dr. Yael Respler, Noted psychoanalyst in the areas of family, marital and intimate relationship issues.
Minor differences in parenting style are all right. However, children will get confused when parents have different approaches. And worse, they are likely to play one parent against the other. Our parenting styles are based on values, personalities and so many other factors. Often one way is not any more right than another. For the sake of the child, it is important to be on the same page.
Parents ought to talk about what they hope for the children and what parenting styles they believe will get their children there. Dr. Yael Respler will share conversation starters and things to consider during such conversations, as well as some important parenting tips. (This discussion is about parenting young children. In future conference calls, we will address older children.)
