Chabad of Brattleboro, Vermont, led by Rabbi Avremy and Chaya Raskin, is in the midst of purchasing a spacious new property to house their Chabad center.
From their previous location in a modest, single-family home, they are now are in escrow to purchase a large and beautiful property at 1130 Upper Dummerston Road.
“This new Center for Jewish Life will be centrally located, commercially zoned, and generously sized to host Chabad’s current programs and much more,” Rabbi Raskin said. “This has the potential to permanently and positively change the landscape of the Jewish life in the community.”
They are scheduled to close on the property on December 1, 2021.
Phase One, which will be completed soon after closing, will allow for a dedicated synagogue space within the existing home on the property.
Phase Two (completion date to be determined), will renovate the existing barn building to become a beautiful synagogue with classrooms, educational displays, and a convenient kosher shop.
“Thanks to the generosity of several community members, we are getting closer to our goal. To finalize the purchase though, we need YOUR help!
“Today you have the opportunity to give a gift for the future of the Jewish community.”
Dedication opportunities are available:
Founder $50,000 ~ Pillar 25,000 ~ Patron $18,000 ~ Builder $10,000 ~ Benefactor $5,400 ~ Supporter $3,600 ~ Friend $1,800 ~
