A new class in Crown Heights is giving people a morning jolt.
Each morning at 5:30 am, renowned orator Rabbi YY Jacobson delves into Gemera, the Alter Rebbe’s Shulchan Oruch and Chassidus at a local Crown Heights shul.
“The classes are given in a way that everyone who attends can understand, appreciate, and relate to,” says Rabbi Levi Browd, Director of Yagdil Torah who organized the class. “Rabbi Jacobson is indeed a master when it comes to giving over words of Torah. People who have attended can’t wait until the following morning to come back for more!”
Dozens have attended the Shiurim, which are given every morning from 5:30 am to 7:15 am, followed by Shachris, at Unzer Shul, 1395 Carroll Street between Kingston and Albany Avenues.
“The Gemorah Shiur is so beautiful, it’s a dream come true,” says Gershon Orenstien, one of the regular attendees. “Rabbi Jacobson is alive and dynamic and you don’t feel like it’s 5:30 am. He’s full of energy!”
All are welcome to join. There will be no shiur this Friday, January 10 and this coming Monday, January 13.
I watch Rabbi Gordon live and it is great. I would love to see YY Jacobson every morning too.

Would love to attend, live next to the precinct on Malbone street and walking roundtrip would take a good half hour which I don’t have the time for in the AM. Driving is out of the question since there’s never any parking available next to Unzer Shule ever! Any ideas!
