The administration of Beis Rikvah of Crown Heights sent the following notice to parents on Thursday:
As you are undoubtedly aware, cases of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) infection have been identified in our neighborhood, and we at Beth Rivkah are committed to doing whatever it takes to ensure the safety and health of our students and staff. We are working closely with health professionals and authorities to make decisions on how to proceed.
Over Purim break, the buildings were sanitized and disinfected and our cleaning staff has been instructed to frequently disinfect restrooms and often-touched surfaces such as door handles and railings.
Please make sure to stay home and keep your children home if anyone in your household is displaying any symptoms, and follow the guidelines from the CDC to help prevent the spread:
- Wash hands frequently with soap for at least 20 seconds.
- Do not touch face with hands
- Cough/sneeze into your sleeve or elbow
- Open windows to air out rooms
We will continue to closely monitor the situation and follow the directives of the CDC and New York State/City Department of Health, and we will update you with any developments that impact our school. We thank our parents for their continued partnership in keeping our school healthy.
Sincerely,
Rabbi L. Newman
