The Bazel Kosher Ice Cream Truck announced that it has sold all its assets to Cones, another operator of kosher ice cream trucks, ahead of the spring and summer ice cream seasons.
The Bazel family served ice cream to countless happy children, and adults, for 12 years from a fleet of 8 trucks, recognizable by their distinctive jingle, “Come and make a bracha…”
“We’re grateful for the years of loyalty from our many customers. It was a joy to make people happy with our ice cream,” says Yaniv Bazel. “After so many years of doing this, we’re looking forward to new and exciting projects.”
Cones will lease the Bazel jingle, sung by Chaim Fogelman, so at least the Brooklyn summer will sound familiar, even if the ice cream truck is different.
“Annoying” music? You’ve gotta be kidding! The kids love it and look forward to its happy sound. My out-of-town ainiklach are enraptured of the Jewish “theme song” that tells them their favorite treat is here, whether in the city or in the mountains. They don’t hear any sounds even vaguely Jewish filling the air where they live and their faces light up when they hear it. To my ear, it beats the mindless sounds of the treifeh ice cream truck any day.
R’ Mordechai Goldin A”H Moshiach Now!!!
Will they still play the annoying music?
1. the Catskills are NOT in NYC
2. As a summer resident in the Monticello – Fallsburg are for over 30 years, I never heard the icecream trucks that late.
3. I wish you an enjoyable summer in your new place.
Please obey NYC law for ice cream truck jingle
The sound must be low and off when parked
Many nights of fustration trying to put kids to bed
No music after 6:45 pm please
Ice Cream in the Catskills has not been the same since Mordechai Goldin A”H left us.
May we merit Moshiach Now! and have Mordechai serve us his delicious milchigs for Shavuous in the Bais haMikdash Hashlishi!!!
my kids look forward to that ” Ice Cream Truck is Here” moment every summer in the Catskills. Hope the new owners continue the old route ( but please don’t come every day, and find out when afternoon swimming hours are in the various colonies so you don’t pull everyone out of the pool, or have to come back “later.”)
Wish the Bazal family much hatzlochoh in their new plans.
Is there any way to get the sound bite? I’m on Shlichus overseas and I would love to have it 🙂
Will it taste the same? The ice cream truck has THE BEST ice cream!
הצלחה רבה
