A disturbing antisemitic incident was reported Tuesday evening in Crown Heights, prompting an investigation by the NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force.
At approximately 7:30 PM, a young Jewish male was shoveling snow near the intersection of Empire Boulevard and Albany Avenue when an unknown individual approached him while walking his dogs. According to the report, the suspect directed an antisemitic slur at the victim, shouting, “Go eat that Jew.”
The verbal attack caused the victim to fear for his safety. The suspect then fled the scene in an unknown direction.
No physical injuries were reported.
The incident has been referred to the NYPD Hate Crime Task Force, which is investigating the matter. Community members are urged to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious or threatening behavior to the authorities.

My young son while waiting for the school bus was told “I’ll kill you, Jew” by two passing teens.

And…This wasn’t the first time he’s come across hate at such a young age…this past summer in the park a black child came up to him and asked him if he knew who Hitler was! Another child was called “ugly Jew” a while back….If you start asking around I’m sure many people can tell you of similar experiences:-(((

It all depends who your neighbors are. Fifty years ago Boro park was not safe for Jews. Because half of Boro park was not Jewish yet. Every Friday night young Italians would drive by throwing eggs and yelling against Jews. How did it change.
