New York City has just launched the lottery for a new development now being built on President Street between Rogers and Bedford on the site of the former Bedford-Union Armory.
Rents are extremely affordable, depending on income, with income levels starting as low as $23,000 a year for a couple and rent for a 2 bedroom apartment as low as $575.
According to the building’s website, units feature brand new finishes and appliances and plenty of closet space. Tenants are responsible for electricity.
Amenities will include washers and dryers in units, Dishwashers in units, Bike storage lockers, Recreation room, Security cameras, Elevator and Energy-efficient appliances.

The lottery closes in late August and the first tenants will move in at the end of 2021.

Only one unit has 3 bedrooms…..All bedrooms are small…only one bathroom in each unit….This is NO metzia…So sad for families who need someplace to live….
