t’s become known lately that all the big poskim of our time unanimously hold that adoption has no place in hallacha. A child belongs forever to its mother and that can’t be changed – even by the mother herself. One cruelly cuts contact between mother and child is putting the whole frum community in danger. Just imagine what the press will make out of this.

An illegal adoption is no different than human trafficking and /or kidnapping. When will “prominent” Jews learn that we must keep the Laws of the Land??? You cannot “snatch” a baby, you cannot “buy” a baby, PERIOD!! If you do – it isn’t “your” baby. Respect the law and you won’t get into trouble. Now, let’s start a pidyon shevuim fund for these parents…

IT is important for people to know that you have to follow the law. Even if you are a choshuveh Yid who sits in mizrach, you still have to follow the law and if you don’t your crimes will catch up with you. Desperation for a child led these people to do something illegal; they shouldn’t have. Let it be a lesson to us all–follow the law of the land as our Torah teaches and our Rebbe emphasized.
