Rabbi Moishe Engel was among the shluchim in Long Beach, California, who dreamed of opening a kosher store or starting a Hebrew school to help boost the community’s Jewish infrastructure.
They were astonished when a call arrived from the Rebbe’s office with a blessing for a new mikvah.

I lived in Long Beach in the mid-1970s and was so glad to have the mikvah there when I decided to start using it. It was a beautiful mikvah, enhanced by the pink and blue towels that my parents donated from their L.A. store. Thanks to all the people who were involved with this mikvah.
The story is inspiring, but watching my first and second grade Rebbe teaching in the same expressive way I remember from almost 40 years ago is even more inspiring!
A grateful student (and now a Morah)

May he may be well and healthy in all ways(physically and spiritually) with his family.… Read more »
