Zlata Esther Sharfstein, daughter of Mottel and Chana Sharfstein of Crown Heights passed away on Friday.
She was 53.
She is survived by her parents, and siblings Shterna Maline, Sruli Sharfstein, Seema Gersten – California and Raizel Feder – NY.
The levaya will take place on Sunday, leaving Shomrei Hadas at 2:00 pm and passing by 770 at 2:45 pm. Burial will be in Israel.
Mrs. Chana Sharfstein will sit Shiva in Israel.
Mottel Sharfstein will sit Shiva at 626 Montgomery St. in Crown Heights.

I worked with Zlata when I was employed at O.D.Heck Developmental Center. I’ll never forget my time there (7 years) and specifically a few of the clients that were there. Zlata was a beautiful person who went through so much. I want to send my condolences on her passing to her family and friends.

Dear Chana & family: I am very saddened to hear about this news. Your daughter was such a lovely person. I always liked seeing her when she came to our shiurm, and especially made sure to make conversation and be friendly to her so she felt comfortable. Words have no measure for your loss.
