Moderna said Monday its COVID-19 vaccine is proving to be highly effective in a major trial, the AP reported.
The company said its vaccine appears to be 94.5% effective, according to preliminary data from Moderna’s ongoing study. A week ago, competitor Pfizer Inc. announced its own COVID-19 vaccine appeared similarly effective — news that puts both companies on track to seek permission within weeks for emergency use in the U.S.
A vaccine can’t come fast enough, as virus cases topped 11 million in the U.S. over the weekend — 1 million of them recorded in just the past week. The pandemic has killed more than 1.3 million people worldwide, more than 245,000 of them in the U.S.
Dr. Stephen Hoge, Moderna’s president, welcomed the “really important milestone” but said having similar results from two different companies is what’s most reassuring.
“That should give us all hope that actually a vaccine is going to be able to stop this pandemic and hopefully get us back to our lives,” Hoge told The Associated Press.
“It won’t be Moderna alone that solves this problem. It’s going to require many vaccines” to meet the global demand, he added.
Vaccines must go through exhaustive trials before they are declared effective and safe by the independent regulatory authorities in each country.

One MUST read up on what a mRNA vaccine is – and what it will do to a person – and also read up on the AGENDA of Bill Gates and his ILK – (depopulation from a philosophy of eugenics).
If people dont read up on this subject – society (of the world) may all be having a big problem.. as these particular vaccines are in actually a BIO WEAPON.
One must be critical of everything they read, especially from random sources on the internet. It’s true that mRNA vaccines are a new and relatively unproven technology, but then again, so were antibiotics when they first came on the scene. Why:
because once one comes out,the company’s will rush so it should not be too far behind
Sorry I’d rather catch the virus than take this vaccine
But don’t expect everyone else to lockdown for you just because you don’t believe in vaccines

It must be so.
Whether you want to take the vaccines or not, just as President Trump promised during the campaign, the vaccines came out out tekef u’miyad. The veracity of any journalist or politician who said the President was lying that the vaccines were coming out should be discounted forever.
The biggest issue here is that AT MOST these vaccines give the person being vaccinated some immunity, meaning they won’t get very sick.
But they still can catch the virus and transmit it to others.
Meaning that this vaccine will provide no herd immunity, similar to the pertussis vaccine. So the higher risk people who cannot get vaccinated are not in any better shape…
Except we do t wear masks for pertussis and everyone is fine.
Please take the vaccine or don’t but let’s get back to normal please .

Conclusions: Reinfection with a genetically distinct SARS-CoV-2 strain may occur in an immunocompetent patient shortly after recovery from mild COVID-19. SARS-CoV-2 infection may not confer immunity against a different SARS-CoV-2 strain.
