Students of the Yeshiva Ketana Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch in Moscow, Russia, changed their typical schedule to mark the International Kinus Hashluchim this weekend.
While their parents remained back home due to the pandemic and participated virtually in the Kinus, their sons who learn in the Yeshivos were able to celebrate the Kinus together.
They began on Friday with learning the Kuntres Shlach na B’yad Tishlach, the last sicha the Rebbe said to a Kinus Hashluchim and it was followed with a festive Shabbos meal on Friday night.
On Shabbos morning, following Tehillim and davening, a Farbrengen was led by the Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Moshe Lerman and Mashpia Rabbi Sholom DovBer Shaingarten.
At the conclusion of Shabbos and Havdalah, Bochurim danced to the tune of the Rosh Chodesh Kislev Nigun and stood together for a group photo.
A banquet-like Melave Malka was then held and continued for 8 hours with Pre-recorded videos sent in by many of the Bochurim’s parents who served as Shluchim across the former Soviet Union and Europe.
The guest speaker was Rabbi Zusha Garelik, Mashpia of the Yeshiva Gedolah of Moscow, who inspired the Bochurim to focus on their learning and commitment to the Rebbe’s Shlichus.
