Two thousand five hundred people come out to celebrate together lag BaOmer in the north part of Toronto, smiling children had lots of fun, adults put on Tefilin and everyone enjoyed a great BBQ.
Thursday afternoon thousands came outside the Swartz/Reisman Centre where they watched a wonderful show.
Children representing every Chabad house in the area came up to recite the 12 Pesukim, followed by a marching parade.
Inflatables, rides, carnival, BBQ and food court, pony rides, carnival booths, concession machines, bonfire, game truck and more at both events, the Lag Baomer spirit was felt in the air!
Many people had a great time with their community at booths created by the shluchim.
This event was just one event, held in Toronto, another was held in South Toronto at Earl Bales Park.
Coordinated by: Dovid Faynberg and Rabbi Mendel Zaltzman of the Jewish Russian Community Centre of Ontario (JRCC), Rabbi Yisrael Landa and Rabbi Shimon Binstak of Chabad Israeli Center and Rabbi Yonah Vilenken of Tzivos Hashem.
