It’s more than words, sketches and paper.
It’s ideas. It’s values. It’s chinuch.
This is the power of a story.
With this in mind, Bais Rivkah’s BRanches held a book writing contest within the parent community. The manuscripts submitted were judged for relevance, values and age appropriateness. The three judges— Dassie Pruss, a children’s book author, Nechamy Segal, a literacy expert and Baily Vail, a beloved first-grade teacher— spent months sifting through submissions. After careful consideration, they selected a winner.
The book “Served with Love”, written by Hindy Wolosov, is now being prepared for publication.
The manuscript follows Mrs. Riva Rubashkin, the owner of the iconic Crown Kosher restaurant, as she goes about her day.
What is so special about this restaurant, so different from the others that dot the avenue?
Is it the food? The patrons? Or does it have something to do with the owner herself?
Step inside Crown Kosher and learn about humility, giving and how to serve with love.
“Served with Love” will be available for purchase and will be placed in Bais Rivkah’s classrooms.
Would you like to dedicate the winning book in honor of someone?

Hindy !! Wow – such a fabulous idea to write a story about Bubby. She truly did serve with love to whoever entered Crowns.
Can’t wait to read it! About time someone wrote about her. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
