Thank you! So vividly showed a generation past. Made me cry reading this as i had some glimpses of what once was. Especially having met some of these wonderfull chassidim mentioned. So much has been lost and forgotten

I was only 16 years old when my father called me into his study and sai “Toby, come listen to this song I just made up”. I was the first person ever to hear Hashem Is Here!! He was the composer and I was zoiche to such a treat!

Who remembers Rabbi Goldstein’s Tanya class around his diningroom table where he so elequontely mastered teaching t ya in the most spoon fed easy to understand way to all us young girls especially Machon chana girls! Who remembers
Vera the aroma of Mrs Goldsteins challa whwn entering their open home for this treat!
This started with 4 young ladies which eventually evolved to over 100 each Friday night. Who remembers?

Thank you for these wonderful memoirs! This is the best account of the early years that I have ever seen.

Question: Are his ‘complete’ memoirs printed in a book and available for purchase?

As a great grandchild, it was so heartwarming to read this article. It reminds me of the powerhouse that I come from and how I should lead my life today. Thank you for posting his and sharing to others the specialty of a person he was.
